Corsica - "Golfe de Porto : six miraculés après un amerrissage forcé" - corsematin.com
This is a good example of an important and miraculous story covered by one of the island media, in this case Corse Matin. It's the story (in French) of the rescue of 6 people whose small plane crashed into the Mediterranean off Corsica.
